Piano accompaniment for hymns in your church services

  Either volume of "Hymns from Piney Grove" provides accompaniment piano for a collection of favorite hymns. Each song begins with an introductory phrase before proceeding into the hymn. Each hymn has been recorded to provide full piano accompaniment for traditional hymns found in both the Baptist as well as Broadman hymnals. The music minister or song leader should note that several hymns (as marked with the asterisk*) have "holds" or fermatas as sung in traditional style.

What's different? Each hymn track is selectable using a selectable compact disc player. Each hymn will start with a short introductory phrase to prepare the choir or congregation. After a slight pause, the music leader may then direct the choir or congregation through all or any portion of the verses desired.

Replace our pianist? No Way! This CD was developed in response to a need for congregational piano accompaniment music during services when a "live" pianist is absent or in church settings where piano talent is either unavailable or unaffordable. Generally, the music has been recorded one-half step lower than written for easier singing. We hope that "Hymns from Piney Grove" will be of use to you and your church group.
